The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Thursday, January 8 reveals Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will be shocked to see Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) in his home.
Also coming up, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will be pleased with himself. Plus, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will stalk Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn). And Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) and Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) will come to an agreement.
Y&R spoilers tease Holden will run into Audra at Crimson Lights. He’ll admit he didn’t tell Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) what happened in LA. Audra will ask why he’s been treating her so badly. However, he’ll point out she wasn’t exactly welcoming when he first came to Genoa City.
“I regret it,” she’ll reply. “Because, you know, who in this town really knows me?” So, Audra will ask why their friendship turned into this. Holden will say she keeps coming at him, especially because of Claire. “Does she really matter that much to you and do I matter so little?” Audra will ask.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Audra Tells Holden She Will Back Off Claire
Holden will say he liked her when she was Audra Cortez, the artist. Then they’ll flash back to getting rid of the art gallery owner’s body. So, Holden will tell Audra if she swears to leave Claire alone he’ll keep his mouth shut. “Fine, I’ll back off,” she’ll tell him. “Maybe I was wrong about us never being friends again.”
At the GCAC, Phyllis will approach Cane at the bar and taunt him. “How about you just stay away from all of us, for good,” he’ll say to her. But Phyllis will say she’s a good person and she cares about him. “What happened since the last time I saw you?” she’ll ask. Then she’ll go on and on about Aristotle Dumas.
“I am not Dumas, I am not interested, I’m trying to drink alone,” Cane will reply. He’ll move away from her and sit down at a table to eat. But Phyllis will follow him. “I’m not going to let this moody guy thing chase me off,” she’ll say. Cane will tell her he and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) talked and kissed. Then she told him she was leaving town.
“She opened the door and then shut it in my face,” Cane will add. Phyllis will say Lily has a holier than thou attitude. “This is who you’re pining for, when are you going to stop playing her game?” Cane will say she’s leaving town because of him. “Will you just give me a minute of peace, please!” he’ll tell Phyllis.
But she’ll say she’s there for him and he needs to acknowledge that. “We can take over the world together, what are you waiting for?” Cane’s phone will ping and it’ll be a text from his daughter. “Spoke to Charlie. Stop calling, stop texting. We’re officially cutting all ties.” He’ll look at it and tell Phyllis Jack wants to team up with him.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Billy Hears All About Phyllis’ Big Plan
Then Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will walk in. Billy will lie to Sally and say he needs to tell Phyllis there’s no AI deal, and to meet him in the Jazz Club. He’ll walk over to a pillar behind Phyllis and Cane. And Billy will eavesdrop as Phyllis tells Cane she wants to pry Newman Enterprises out of Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) hands.
Meanwhile, Jack will return home and tell Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) he asked Cane if he has any proof that Victor used the AI against Arabesque. “He regrets creating this cyber weapon that Victor now has control of.” Diane will ask if Cane’s nursing his wounds still or is he willing to help them fight back.
But before Jack can answer, Kyle will walk in and tell his parents they have their counter move. “Our ultimate bargaining chip.” He’ll say he’s been working with their security team. “A man from Sharon and Nick’s past has shown back up and is harassing them,” Kyle will add. Security was following Nick, he crashed the car with the man inside, and they called an ambulance.
“What about the man?” Diane will ask. “He’s in one piece,” Kyle will reply. “And he’s Newman enemy number one.” Then Kyle will call Abbott security and tell them to come on in. And Jack will be shocked when they walk inside, dragging Matt Clark with them.
Finally, Jack will flip out and say he thought Matt was dead. Matt will say they’re all insane, he’s actually Mitch Bacall and he came to town to find his wife. “Sure you did,” Jack will reply. Then he’ll pull out his phone and call Victor. “I have Matt Clark here,” Jack will tell his nemesis. “Perhaps it’s time we make a deal.”
